What this service is for, and how to report a link.

Acceptable use

Safegeon is for privately sharing a secret or a file with someone you trust. Using it to store or distribute illegal content, malware, phishing material, or content that infringes the rights of others is prohibited.

Your responsibility

Everything is encrypted end-to-end in your browser before upload. The server stores only opaque ciphertext and cannot read, scan, or recover it — so you are solely responsible for the content you upload and share.

How sharing works

• Links are one-time: the item is deleted when first opened (best-effort).
• Every item expires after 2 days (48 hours), opened or not.
• The decryption key travels in the link fragment (#) and never reaches the server.

Reporting abuse

Received a link you believe is abusive? Use the Report abuse button on its download page — the item is removed immediately and permanently. You can also write to abuse@safegeon.com; include the link id (the part after /d/). Every report is acted on and logged.
